Research on Information Technology Integration and Teaching Process Optimization in Digital Transformation of Civic and Political Education in Colleges and Universities

This paper proposes the construction of a comprehensive system of information on civic and political education in colleges and universities as a means of digital transformation of civic and political education in colleges and universities, and the information technology integration of the civic and political teaching management system and the civic and political personalized online learning system in the comprehensive system. Both of them jointly adopt MySQL database to store system data, and the system consistently adopts B/S architecture mode, and both of them realize the system functions of Civic and Political Learning Management Recommendation and Learning Resource Recommendation based on collaborative filtering algorithms to improve the performance of both of them respectively. Taking the students of the first year class 1 and class 2 of political science major in University D as the research object, the comprehensive information system of Civics education in colleges and universities in this paper is applied to carry out the optimization practice of Civics teaching process. In the experimental class, the improvement of each index of core Civic and political literacy is more than 2, while the improvement of the control class is less than 1. The mean value of each dimension of Civic and political awareness in the control class is only more than 2.9, which is at an average level in general, while the experimental class is more than 3.7, which is at a good level in general. At the end of the practice, the evaluation of the quality of teaching ideology in the experimental class reached 9.34, which was significantly higher than that of the control class at 2.16.
