In order to improve the functionality, flexibility and interactivity of urban space, the design and planning of urban public facilities are getting more and more attention. This paper analyzes the questionnaire to get that City A lacks public facilities for the old and young mutual aid system. Through the fuzzy algorithm, the importance of different influencing factors in the design of public facilities is evaluated. The interaction design concept and the multi-module combination technology were introduced to design and implement the mutual help facilities for the elderly and children in City A. The awareness level of the residents of City A is 1.78, which shows a lack of awareness. The weight of the “designability” indicator is 0.6549, and the residents of City A are highly satisfied with the facilities, with an average satisfaction score of 4 or more. The regression analysis showed that increasing the accessibility of urban economy, modular design, and interaction design concepts by 1 unit each increased the probability of functional composites of elderly and child support facilities by 16.4%, 21.7%, and 14.3%, respectively. In conclusion, this study emphasizes the importance of interaction design concept and modular design in urban public facilities, which can better satisfy the residents’ usage needs.
