Southeast Asian Chinese literature, as an important part of overseas Chinese literature, has shown vigorous development in recent years. The study explores the linguistic and cultural aspects of it using the TF-IDF algorithm and the Word2Vec model. The emotion recognition model based on RoBERTa-BiLSTM-Attention is constructed to identify and analyze the emotions expressed by the author and works. On the basis of grasping the characteristics and development of the linguistic and cultural elements of Southeast Asian Chinese literary works, the connection and presentation between their linguistic and cultural elements and Chinese cultural self-confidence are explored in depth. The number of Southeast Asian Chinese literature from 1961 to 2020 has been growing continuously, from 7 in the first stage (1961-1970) to 129 in the sixth stage (2011-2020).During the 60 years, the percentage of effective vocabulary in Southeast Asian Chinese literature has basically remained at 22% or less. The TF-IDF value of high-frequency keywords is increasing, and the top two keywords in the TF-IDF value rankings are always “Qu Yuan” and “China”. The authors of Southeast Asian Chinese literature have positive and positive attitudes (>60%) towards the six categories of themes (Chinese historical figures, Chinese seasonal customs, hometown scenery and implements, mountains and rivers, myths and legends, and martial arts culture), with the highest percentage of positive sentiments towards martial arts culture (88%), and the lowest percentage of positive sentiments towards hometown scenery and implements (67%).
