Building construction technology is a core course that combines theory and practice closely in higher vocational construction majors. This paper adopts “BIM+Building Model” to build the practical training program of the course, and improves the teaching quality under the innovative practical teaching mode. Taking the course “Building Construction Technology” as the core, 83 students majoring in construction in a university in Shaanxi were selected as the research objects, which were divided into the experimental group and the control group for the design of teaching practice. The lag sequence analysis method was used to explore the innovative practical teaching path of BIM+building modeling. At the same time, the teaching effect analysis was implemented by using the independent sample t-test and questionnaire survey to understand the students’ learning and satisfaction with the innovative practice teaching of BIM+architectural modeling. The results of the practical research show that the BIM+building modeling innovative practice teaching designed in this paper has more advantages than the traditional teaching mode, and the mode applied to the “Building Construction Technology” course has the feasibility and effectiveness, which can improve the quality of classroom teaching, enhance the learning effect of students, and help to cultivate the comprehensive learning ability of students in various aspects of construction.
