The use of colour matching plays an important role in the artistic creation of modern ceramics. In order to achieve efficient color matching applications, this paper proposes a color quantification algorithm and a color matching measurement algorithm based on visual characteristics. The use of human visual characteristics so that the colour in the combination of colour frequency and chromatic aberration in the various logical regions for quantification, the use of clustered feature trees to improve the speed of the implementation of colour quantification. A color matching evaluation method that integrates visual perception and similarity metrics is constructed, and an image translation model is used as the basis for intelligent color matching design. Apply the colour quantification algorithm and matching measurement method to design a series of ceramic works, “Days on the Clouds”. In terms of eye movement data, the average gaze duration and first gaze duration of ceramic works in this paper reached 1686.101ms and 399.217mss, respectively, and the number of average gaze points was 4.3575. The average preference score for color matching reached 7.17, while the average visual aesthetic score reached 6.722.
