In today’s rapid development of modern information technology, the information construction management system occupies an important position in the construction safety management of oil and gas pipelines. The study takes the third line of West-East gas pipeline construction project engineering as an example, explores the construction risk factors of the project, and constructs the oil and gas pipeline construction safety risk management evaluation index system. Based on the index system, the principal component analysis method is used to obtain the comprehensive evaluation formula of the project safety: F = 0.693F1 + 0.307F2. Comparing the control effect of the case project with that of the traditional oil and gas pipeline construction project, the comprehensive evaluation value of the West-East pipeline construction project of the third line of the West-East pipeline, which is managed by the informationized construction management system, reaches 3.969, which confirms the control effect of the informationized construction management system in assisting the managers in implementing the safety management of the oil and gas pipeline construction. It confirms that the information-based construction management system is effective in assisting managers in implementing oil and gas pipeline construction safety management. After analyzing the efficiency of safety management using the DEA model, the informationized construction management system has certain practical application value, but still needs to be optimized and improved. In this regard, the study proposes that the safety management effect of oil and gas pipelines can be further improved by improving the informationized management system and strengthening the training of informationized management personnel.
