The severity of college students’ psychological problems is increasing year by year, so many colleges and universities are paying more and more attention to the intervention role of college Civics courses on students’ mental health. In this study, Apriori algorithm and ARIMA model are chosen to analyze and predict the relationship and development trend between college students’ mental health status and college Civics courses. The article firstly conducts a basic research on Apriori algorithm from the dimensions of searching for frequent item sets and searching for strong association rules. Then the principle of ARIMA model is introduced, and the modeling steps of ARIMA model are elaborated in detail. The article conducts experimental tests with students of a college, mines the correlation between college students’ mental health status and college Civics courses through association rules, and then constructs the ARIMA model of depressed students and analyzes the prediction of students’ mental health status. Through the experimental test this paper concludes that the support degree between stress adjustment and anxiety is 0.92, and the confidence level is 0.4, which shows that there is indeed a certain correlation between the psychological health status of college students and the Civics and Political Science courses in colleges and universities. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen the intervention and channeling role of the Civics Program in colleges and universities on the mental health status of college students.
